The Adamson Lady Falcons snatched another champ match against another Katipunan-based team, University of the Philippines Lady Maroons, 25-19 19-25 25-17 25-11, in Season 84 UAAP women's volleyball on May 12, Thursday, at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Trisha Genesis, the back-to-back Player of The Game, hit 15 points, 11 attacks, two blocks, and two aces, tallying the team into a 2-2 record.
The confident Lorene Toring added 14 points and four blocks, While Kate Santiago poured three serving aces for the Lady Falcons.
Adamson dug the first set showing their floor defense and drew an 8-1 run. Louie Romero with Lucille Almonte kept damaging the center of the Lady Maroons, just like what they did in their previous game with Ateneo, sending the Lady Eagles in damage.
The game tied in the second set by blocking Genesis's hard-driven spike, 19-25.
UP scrambled to clinch another set after slipping to receive the second ball. The Lady Falcons sustained the 14-point lead in the fourth frame with Almonte and Lorene Toring’s sharp kill-hits. The San Marcelino-based ladies made their coverage good. The game ended with a spike from Arylle Tagsip for Lady Falcons' second win, 25-11.
After garnering three wins, the Lady Maroons suffered their first loss this round.
