If you will ever find yourself walking away from me,
Then, please, leave your footprints behind.
If you will ever desire to quench your thirst for someone else,
Then, please, lay your dainty lips on me for the last time.

We may have made a mess out of this,
But all I will ever want is to remember you.
To remember us.
To make myself believe, that once upon a time—you happened.
It won’t matter,
Even if flashbacks of inaudible cries stays,
Even if a sweet reverie of your laugh hunts me down,
Even if it reminds me that we could never happen again.
For if I have any little of these,
I’d know that I had everything I ever wanted.
As you leave a trail of our memories,
Every waking moment will be a nightmare.
Every room will be haunted.
Every word will be tainted.
But, soon, all will be well.
For if we leave no trace of us,
How could I ever believe that you were mine?
