Illustrated by: Vincent Flores
I do not want to live in fear and see my countrymen engulfed by the tyranny of my oppressor,
I do not want to see the day where the air lays soft whispers of screams to which I have decided to ignore due to my nescience.
I do not wish to walk down an alley deluged by the eyes at bay so scarily staring at me.
I do not want it,
To regret the day where the walls are the only one that could seek justice.
And with this I will not fret,
I shall not—for my countrymen needs it.
To stand tall despite odds,
As our hero stood barefoot with umpteen of blood on his grave,
This is what he asked of us.
