The Adamson University Guild of Animation Makers and Esports (AdU-GAME) began its preparation last February 6 for the upcoming AcadArena’s first seasonal Valorant tournament.
Joining the largest collegiate Esports tournament in the country this year, AdU-GAME is confident they will seal the victory with the strict preparations and chemistry they have.

The team formed their six-player roster with one as reserved in accordance with the rules and policy of the event.
“Meron kaming (We have) six players listed for our Valorant Team at isa doon ay magiging (and one of them will be the) ‘reserved’ [player] for the game as ayun ang binigay na (those were the given) rules and policy na binigay ng (by the) organization,’’Joshua Moreno, President of AdU-GAME, said.
The said event is the first tournament of AdU-GAME outside the university which will run from March to late April.
As part of the training, the team is planned for scrimmages with players outside the university which would allow them to upskill their capability alongside fast strategic decision making.
Although the roster is already secured for this season, Moreno assured students that the team will hold another tryouts for the next tournament.
“For students who are interested, they can always look forward to the next Valorant tournament that may happen. When it does, we will definitely be holding another tryout,” he said.
In support for their guildmates, AdU-GAME will be streaming the tournament on their Facebook page, while AcadArena will also broadcast the upcoming games on their Twitch and Facebook pages for the public to watch.
