AdU Pep Rally pushes through amidst class suspension

Updated: Jul 22, 2021

Amidst the unpleasant weather resulting in a class suspension, the Office of Athletics and Recreation (OAR) pushed through the annual Pep Rally with the theme “ARISE: Bring Out the Falcon in You”, held at Saint Vincent (SV) Gym last August 27.

The event was set to take place at SV Facade but due to the suspension, Fr. Aldrin R. Suan, C.M, President of OAR, revised the plan and made some adjustments to transfer the pep rally to SV Gym.

Adamson University (AdU) President Fr. Marcelo V. Manimtim, C.M, also announced that the presentation and recognition of the athletes will push through rain or shine.

The SV Gym was filled with freshmen and higher years because of the much-awaited presentation of the athletes for the University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) season 82.

UAAP season 81 Cheerdance Competition 3rd runner-up Adamson Pep Squad wowed the Adamson community with their performance to the music of American musical film ‘Pitch Perfect’.

Athletes from the Junior High, Senior High, and College Departments showcased their talents as well.

The Adamson University Drummers and Yellers On-line (AUDYO) also enlivened the event and the crowd by performing their routine.

In an interview, fellow Communication student and event host Lianna Lau shared how she witnessed the connection and the tradition of Adamson getting tighter this year.

"I can say na iba talaga ang samahan ng mga taga-Adamson and that made me really proud of being a ‘Klasmeyt’,'' said Lau.

With the conclusion of Pep Rally 2019, the Adamsonian athletes are ready to start their campaign in the 82nd season of the UAAP.
