Usually when we are not doing anything, millennials and members of Generation Z would rely on our laptops and televisions and look for something to entertain us. Most of the times, our go-to are those series or movies that left a mark in pop culture and proved themselves to be timeless.
Shows such as “Friends”, “How I Met Your Mother”, and movies like “Titanic” are those which we go for because they take us back in time and make us which for a life with Barney Stinson having coffee at Central Perk. Sweet Home Alabama (2002)
A New Yorker fashion designer Melanie (Reese Witherspoon) is on her peak as a career woman and finds herself a boyfriend, Andrew (Patrick Dempsey), who is the city’s most eligible bachelor. It was going smoothly at first until he proposed to her. Melanie holds secrets from her past that she doesn’t want to go back to. One of these is Jake (Josh Lucas), her redneck childhood lover turned to a husband whom she married back in high school. Melanie goes back to Alabama to fix her unfinished business with her life downtown, especially with Jake who refuses to divorce her. She travelled back home only to find out that there are things you cannot leave.

2. The Proposal (2009)
Margaret (Sandra Bullock), a powerhouse book editor, faces deportation back to Canada. To prevent moving out of the United States, Margaret asked her assistant Andrew (Ryan Reynolds) to fake an engagement between the two of them. He agreed to this abrupt request of her but with a few conditions. The two fly to Alaska to meet Andrew’s family only to find herself gradually being open to Andrew due to some circumstances. Nevertheless, they attend their spontaneous wedding as requested by Andrew’s grandmother and are reluctant of the outcome.

3. 50 First Dates (2004)
Every single day is the same day to Lucy (Drew Barrymore) because of her short-term memory loss which she got after an accident. Henry (Adam Sandler), a wildlife veterinarian and is known for being a heart-breaker in the island falls in love with Lucy. It is a struggle for him to devise a plan as to how would they meet every day. Apart from that, Henry has to face the disapproval of Lucy’s father due to her condition. Bound and determined to pursue Lucy, Henry gives it all out to stay with her.

4. Serendipity (2001)
While looking for Christmas gifts for their respective lovers, young Jonathan (John Cusack) and Sara (Kate Beckinsale) find love instead. A decade after that one night, when both of them are engaged to get married, Jonathan and Sara both unknowingly decide to test fate one last time.

The exes happen to always one-up each other until they realize that they are now both after the same thing--to save their lives..

6. Date Night (2010)
Phil (Steve Carell) and Claire (Tina Fey) plan a romantic date night in worry that the spark of their marriage has gone. However, when they learned that they have no reservation in this fancy restaurant, the couple decide to pretend to be the Tripplehorns who are not present that night. The romantic night they think they are going to experience turns awry when two men drag them out to ask for a flash drive.

7. Monster-in-Law (2005)
