The Adamson Soaring Falcons bounce back at the expense of the National University Bulldogs 69-58.

The Adamson Soaring Falcons bounce back at the expense of the National University Bulldogs 69-58. It is no secret that the Adamson Soaring Falcons finished the first round in disappointing fashion. The Falcons started out red-hot winning its first five games until giving out on the last two. After every downfall comes the redemption as the San Marcelino boys took out their frustrations on the young National University Bulldogs. During the first quarter the offense was blistering for the Falcons. The team was outscoring the Bulldogs 11-5 during the first five minutes of the quarter. Balancing the offense out, almost every Falcon scored during the first quarter as Jerie Pingoy made sure all his teammates were happy as he made his first start since season 80. Jerrick Ahanmisi took it upon himself to finish this early as he poured in a couple of triples to extend the lead. The beat down was not finished as the inspired Adamson squad finished the quarter with a 16 point lead as they head into the second quarter with a score of 27-11. The second quarter started out slow as coach Franz Pumaren demanded defense from the team. The boys quickly stepped up to the plate as they forced turnovers after turnovers which led to fastbreak points on the other end. Jerom Lastimosa in particular stood out with his passing as he rewarded his bigs Simon Camacho and Papi Sarr with on the money passes every time the two ran the break. Sarr and Ahanmisi scored 13 and 12 respectively as the Pumaren led Falcons head into the dugout with a 42-21 lead. Confident as ever, Jerrick Ahanmisi and crew started the third sloppy as ever. In the first three minutes of the quarter the Falcons got outscored 12-3 with NU's Dave Ildefonso spear heading their offense. It did not get any better for Adamson as they lost the quarter 22-12 giving the Bulldogs momentum heading into the fourth. Due to the lead the Falcons accumulated in the first two quarters, they still had cushion as they finish the third with a score of 54-43. Entering the fourth, the ever hungry Adamson Falcons look to put the nail in the coffin. The action started as fast as possible with both teams ignoring the playbook and outright running at one another. The Falcons failed to separate themselves against the tough Bulldogs as the lead barely gets any bigger. With a must win situation, who else steps up for the Falcons other than lead guard Jerrick Ahanmisi who made tough shots that seemingly got tougher at the end of the quarter. The hungry Falcons preyed on the Bulldogs as they win 69-58. Action continues on Saturday October 17 as the team gets a rematch against the De La Salle Green Archers.
