Third Time the Charm; the AdU Falcons outlasts UST Tigers

The game just keeps getting better and better as the Adamson University (AdU) Men's Basketball Team maintained their position in winning against the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers with the score of 79-71 at Araneta Coliseum on September 22.

During the 1st and 2nd quarter, the Falcons exerted a lot of effort in their defense strategy which outshined the Tigers resulting to a score of 31-38.

The crowd got more excited when the Falcons pumped up its offensive plan, leading the 3rd quarter with a score of 58-54. Jerrick Ahanmisi wowed his supporters scoring 20 points and Vince Magbuhos gained 15 points that helped the team stay in their number 1 spot with 3-0 record.

While the others showcased their great performance, Sean Manganti, Jed Colonia, and Ejieboy Mojica had a rough day having 0 point due to their health conditions."Papi [Sarr’s] not 100%. He just played through his sickness. Same with Sean [Manganti], his foot is bothering him but in spite of them having a bad day because of various illnesses and injuries, I think this is one game that we were able to prove ourselves that we just play as a team.” the head coach of Adamson University, Mr. Franz Pumaren said.

Overall, in the last 15 seconds of the match, the Rookie guard of the Falcons’ Jerom Lastimosa threw a 2 point shot, securing their win in the game.
