The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs (VPAA) clarified that classes with more than 20 students would be split into two groups, unlike its earlier announcement that sections with 30 or fewer students would follow a complete face-to-face learning modality.
In a memorandum posted last August 17, the students who will be split into two class sessions will be grouped alphabetically, with students who have A-K surnames as Group I and students who have L- Z surnames as Group II.
The VPAA added that there would be a weekly rotation for half of each class, regardless of the student's status.
Moreover, colleges are given authority to implement the most suitable HyFlex arrangement for their laboratory classes independent from the HyFlex arrangements of other colleges, according to the released memo.
The rest of the guidelines from the previously posted VPAA Memo Nos. 20 and 22, S. 2022 remains unchanged, according to the clarificatory memo on their Facebook page.
This includes the guideline where the university will automatically revert to synchronous online learning again should there be a surge in COVID-19 cases in the country.
Face-to-face classes will start in September, as the office announced in their initial memo that the school would adopt full online classes for August.
