“The University has decided to suspend the use of Respondus BrowserLock through the semester since we do not want the pursuit for examination integrity to reflect social demarcation,” AdU-CIL wrote in its advisory.
The advisory also pointed out compatibility issues with the software as the reason for its suspension.
"After thorough analysis of the situation, there appears to be a mismatch between the compatibility of the aforementioned anti-cheating software on some students' gadgets for online learning," it furthered.
Moreover, AdU-CIL is expecting Adamsonians to practice “utmost academic responsibility, integrity, and honesty” during the upcoming midterm examinations.
The midterm examinations are scheduled from November 9 to 14, 2020.
