Adamson University postponed the preliminary exam period for college and graduate school students due to the emergency maintenance conducted by Smart Communications Inc. and the Philippine Long-Distance Telephone (PLDT) Company.
The said maintenance was conducted on September 25 and is expected to end on September 30, as announced in a Facebook post by PLDT.
In line with this, the university re-scheduled the exams to September 30 until October 3.
In a statement posted on the AdU page last Thurday signed by the Vice President for Academic Affairs (SGD) Dr. Catherine Q. Castaneda, no synchronous classes are to be held in the said week.
“In response to the said situation, colleges and departments, including BED and SHS, shall implement their respective online continuity plans… No synchronous classes should be held,” the announcement stated.
Moreover, faculty members are expected to conduct asynchronous classes only.
"Faculty members are expected to simply provide assignments and activities or conduct asynchronous classes during the said time period."
Meanwhile, the AdU Center for Innovative Learning offers assistance and inquiries regarding the situation, via their Facebook page @AdUCenterforInnovativeLearning or their e-mail address, info.cil@adamson.edu.ph.
