AdU ranks among 14 PH universities in QS World Ranking: Asia 2021

Adamson University made it to the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) list of Asia’s best Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

In a press release on November 25, the Commission on Higher Education’s (CHED) revealed that AdU placed at 601+ along with 13 other universities across the country.

It is among the seven additional Philippine HEIs, which is the largest increase of ranked Philippine universities by far.

CHED Chairman J. Prospero E. De Vera III said that the Philippine HEIs were supported by CHED through international programs and initiatives which helped the universities reach this achievement.

“Since 2016, many Philippine HEIs have gained increased exposure and visibility by attending educational fairs and international conferences, mobilizing student and faculty exchanges and, building strategic partnerships and linkages which have contributed to the fulfillment of this wonderful achievement,” De Vera stated in the press release.

According to De Vera, the Duterte administration's strategy to internationalize Philippine HEIs helped the recognition of the universities for the QS World Rankings.

“It is a key component of our efforts to improve access to quality education…The recognition given to the additional HEIs as among the best in Asia is welcome news to show that our efforts to provide access to quality education are bearing fruit,” he added.

QS World Rankings is a global higher education think-tank and compiler of the world’s university rankings.
