5 Reasons why you can never NOT miss your dogs

Komunikator provides a safe space for everyone. But, if you are a hater of wiggly tails and fluffy paws, we can no longer assure your safety.

The time has finally come to pack our things and return to school. While it is a joyful “hooray!” for all of us, we cannot just shrug off a whimpering Arf! Arf! from our baby dogs– who stayed with us throughout the highs and lows.

Before leaving them behind, let us take a moment to appreciate their cuteness and list all the benefits of having them around as we celebrate International Dog’s day this August 26.

1. Dogs are stress-relievers

An apple a day keeps the doctor away,” they say.

Although this is true, no one can deny that dogs also have special powers in making people alive and kicking. They magically make your stress disappear just by hogging your space in bed or licking your entire face.

I mean, those who can resist their affection have no heart at all!

2. Dogs lessen loneliness

The pandemic caused everyone to be touch-deprived, making us feel lonelier than we had ever felt before. No worries! Because dogs are, in nature, the clingiest. They will share their warmth by following you wherever you are and will go so far by resting their cute boop on your lap 24/7.

What even is “alone”? Personal space is a foreign language to dogs. In fact, research says dogs will NEVER miss a chance to snuggle and get close to you.

Here’s a little friendly tip to lessen your dog’s separation anxiety from you: just act normal and don’t let your fur baby feel like you’re not coming back. Trust us, they won’t even notice your absence!

3. Dogs help in staying active

There is no escaping a dog that wants to play. They will encourage you to get up, move, and exercise non-stop. Do you want to know what’s even more impressive? A 2019 study confirms that dog owners are four times healthier than non-dog owners. Amazing, right?

Every second of the day is zoomies time, forcing you to play with them even in ungodly hours. Although this may sometimes be bothersome, it allows you to take a break from work and have a healthy body while creating new memories with your dog.

Come on, stop frowning. Perhaps, it’s a win-win situation!

4. Dogs are protectors

The Avengers are fictional heroes; dogs are heroes in real life.

Whether outdoors or indoors, dogs are always ready to protect you from harm. They don’t care if you are only fake hurting or acting with your family; their goal is to keep you safe and happy. The most selfless creatures that deserve all the love in this vast universe!

The truth is– they will even brave fires and waves for you, so don’t forget to do the same for them.

5. Dogs give happy hormones

Dogs do dumb things, but we are dumber for tolerating them.

It’s hard to see your baby dogs stumble on their feet and not love them even more. Every action they make, we feel the need to document it. Dogs make the world a colorful place, even as simple as licking their paws, lying down with their bellies up, or just breathing.

The true charmers and happy pills, indeed!

Dogs don’t need us; we need dogs. This International Dog’s day serves as a reminder to adopt, not shop. Let us not forget to treat all dogs equally and extend kindness towards them no matter what their breed or where they come from.

Give love and love well. After all, they are nothing but God’s gift to humankind.

So, tell us. Are you now ready to say a temporary goodbye to your dogs? Share your thoughts with us!
