Adamson University Student Government (AUSG) started its Student Organization Activation and Recruitment (SOAR) 2019 to introduce and persuade the students to join the Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) inside the campus last September 18 at Saint Vincent (SV) Grounds.
The socio-civic or extra-curricular organizations include Mountaineering and Exploration Society,( MESAU), Gravity S.E.T. (Skills, Expertise & Talents), Tinik ng Teatro, Silip@Lente, HIMIG, Red Cross Youth Council and Enactus, and more.
Meanwhile, booths from academic organizations such as Adamson University Mathematics Society and Physics Society of Adamson University are also present.
Each booth offered different techniques such as singing and dancing to encourage fellow Adamsonians to join their organizations.
The program opened with a doxology number and the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and Adamson Hymn led by the AdU Chorale.
In the afternoon, several students joined the Open Mic Session wherein every Adamsonian were given an opportunity to showcase their talent in singing in front of their fellow “klasmeyts”.
According to AUSG, this year's theme was coined from the term "Madayaw", that honors the diversity and richness of culture and arts all over the Philippines - imbued by the ethnic patterns and crafts.
