Aimed to gather new recruits this school year, PASINAYAAN 2018 had launched its three-day membership drive which centered on freshmen and transferees that started from August 28 and ended with a bang on August 31 at the ST Quadrangle.
The event began on August 28 and ended on August 31 with the much anticipated concert. This year’s recruitment drive had an overwhelming turnout, with some of organizations having hundreds of new recruits for just day one from the prospect of thousands of new students for this school year. It is looking great for all organizations. With multiple Organizations to choose from, students will have to decide from each different organization respectively, namely; Silip@Lente, which promotes to all its members to appreciate films and to abhor all pirated forms of film viewing according to Mary Ann Santos (President of Silip@Lente). Now when students’ wants to escape the stress accumulated from school, family, etc. students may join Mountaineers and Exploration Society of AdU and AdU Mountaineering Society (ADUMS), which promotes mountain climbing and going green for the environment. Now when the students want to donate their time and learn from medical seminars ranging from BLS (Basic Life Support) to Standard First Aid Training they may join Red Cross Youth of AdU (RCYC), according to Marinella Angela Balitaar and Harold Domingo (RCYC Representatives). Those are just some of the organizations offered to the students; they also can refer to Physics Society of AdU (PSAU), Academic Scholars Alliance of AdU (ASA-AdU), and AdU Mathematics Society (ADUMS), which are organizations that can help its members appreciate their academic life, if students want to hone-in some skills and talents they have, they may join Tinik ng Teatro, MAKEntertainment of AdU, Gravity SET, and AdU Drummers and Yellers On-line (AUDYO). Students who want to be a part of a Non Profit International Organization that helps local innovators in terms of Marketing and Entrepreneurship they may join ENACTUS. Lastly if the students want to appreciate the Japanese Culture they may join Bunka Koryu Kai.
The students will not only be given an opportunity to be a part of a student organization, but will also get a chance to win some freebies and prizes from sponsors. This is just one event of this year’s PASINAYAAN new breed of Adamsonian along with their anticipated first Adamsonian Welcome Concert and Tatak Adamson that will solidify their identity as Adamsonian Falcons.
