ADU COMMUNICATION DEPARTMENT HOLDS 7TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY

The 7th Communication Department General Assembly entitled Magnifi-7 took place at the Adamson Theater last July 7.


The doors were opened for registration at exactly 1:00 pm where Comm students from different year levels signed up to participate on the said assemblage. The event started with a thanksgiving mass presided by Rev. Fr. Rock Joseph Enriquez, CM, afterwards followed by the CELA choir’s singing of the National Anthem and the University Hymn.


The event was hosted by Mr. Eric John Bibal and Dana Macatangay, and the program proper was opened with an energetic performance by the G-circle members.

The Rules and Regulations of the university was tackled by Professor Joel Zaporteza. Included on the discussion were the Hair Color Policy, Guidelines on Standard Uniform, internship requirements, deadline of submission for graduation application, breakdown of Thesis Fee, and the retention policy which will be implemented next year.


Following the discussion was the presentation of the candidates for the “1st Ginoo at Binibining Komunikasyon 2017”, which composed of seven (7) male candidates and six (6) female candidates.

Each candidate shared their chosen advocacies wearing their futuristic attire with pride and confidence, but only contestants Trisha Maingat, Frances Leigh Madamba, Daphne Celucia, Jet Leonardo, Aldrich Dabao, and Charles Dagdag moved to the Question and Answer portion.

The 1st crowned “Ginoo at Binibining Komunikasyon” were candidates #6, Frances Leigh Madamba, a senior communication student and candidate no. 1, junior communication student Aldrich Dabao. Both of them showed exemplary skills in the question and answer portion, futuristic wear and in formal attire which were used by the judges as basis for the title. Aldrich also bagged special awards for best in formal wear while Leigh won the long gown attire, Dabao and his partner, Shannon Posadas gained the awards for futuristic wear and Best in Advocacy

The closing remarks was delivered by the department chairperson, Ms. Aileen Ayson who thanked and congratulated all of the awardees and participants as well as wished all the students good luck for the whole academic year.
